Commands not working
AFAIK I have the newest Mudlet - 4.16.0. Unless I'm in the wrong spot, commands aren't working - input is simply printed to the screen. I type in the box next to the search bar. I'm trying to use the buitl-in generic auto-mapper. The map is up, but isn't detecting input. Since the game allows moveme...

Re: dummy profile
The mapper tutorial appears to have several errors in it. Also Lua error messages are not consistent. Running the code is fine until setAreaName. For example, I typed the code as follows: -- setAreaName(areaID, newName) setAreaName(1, City) Which returned this result: Lua syntax error:setAreaName: w...

Re: dummy profile
Now the next step: Having Mudlet recognize an external program, such as DOSBox (or even the DOS game file). I've tried putting the path to the executable in the 'Website' box, but this is another aspect I don't know whether or not it's working. Also, determining how Mudlet would get the map data: ke...

Re: dummy profile
I found ./profiles and after some testing of the two profiles I've created, I thought it'd be more productive to delete the one that has the glitch - since the other one doesn't have it. Now I'm going to pick on Akaya so I can dissect his work.

Re: dummy profile
Running Win8.1 (w/the update). AFAIK I haven't loaded any scripts - but there is a folder named Scripts that appears when I click the Scripts button. But it doesn't appear in the Mudlet directory, so it must be something that's loaded into memory when the program runs. (I found out I installed 'Scri...

Done. Seems you have to click it to stretch the image before you can see the section I'm speaking of.

Re: dummy profile
@SlySven: Nothing you have described works. The box appears to locked in place for some reason. 'Left-click and hold' does not work - the pointer moves, but I can't hold onto the box to move it. All I can do to affect it is click the top button, which causes it to vanish - I assume under normal cond...

Re: dummy profile
Two concerns: where do I put files I download - like the mapper XML files? There's a problem with the box placement when I click the 'Map' button. The box appears almost nonexistent, only the left edge is sticking out on the right side of the screen. The Left and Down buttons, the word Rooms, and th...

Thanks to those who responded. Umm, working... it might take a while.
I can't believe this is still up. Enjoy.

dummy profile
Is it possible to create a dummy profile in MUDlet for offline use? I've been looking for an auto-mapping program for rpgs. I mean like the old school DOS crpgs - 'dungeon crawls'. I ran across a post on a message board that suggested that a mud client could be used as such - assuming it had a mappi...
