Is there any guide or suggestions as to which steps I need to go through to implement mapper use/drawing/storing/loading on a LPmud-style mud?

All of this is handled automatically. The only thing that you need to create rooms and exits. I don't want to publish an official API or any demos until the mapper is complete (ETA soon).

Oh, thats nice - I've tried the recent RC1-snapshot, but I'm too clueless to make it work. Looking forward to the release.

At this point you should look at my Avalon.de demo mapping script or one of the various other LP related mapper scripts in the mapper section of the forum.
