Hi all!
We've setup a translation project to start translating Mudlet - join in to help Mudlet speak your language.
It's not currently possible to use Mudlet with the translation, but we are working on that technology - this is preparation

Re: Translate Mudlet into your language!
Just in case it isn't clear, the Mudlet application is (supposed) to have used language corresponding to the en-US locale, in the past - but sometimes, I may have personally used British words like "Licence" or "Colour" in the existing strings {instead of License" or "Color"} without realising it...
July status
After starting in June, here is the status from July:
- Spanish is #1 - With over 3.000 of 18.000 words translated (17%) - ¡Ándale!
- Chinese, German, Italian and Russian are working nicely towards the 10% threshold
- Dutch, French, Greek and Polish communities have not yet started translating very much
Re: Translate Mudlet into your language!
After half a year of translating Mudlet, here is another status from December 2018:

Re: Translate Mudlet into your language!
BTW The figures for the English (British) and English (American) are deceptive because the latter (American) explicit translation came about because I wanted to sort out the plurals handling for both and created it on CrowdIn without realising that they cannot handle producing a runt `en_US.ts` that ONLY contained the needed plurals translations {around 6(six) the last I checked} and the former (British) one only contains in an approved form the same plural translations and ones that I spotted contained obvious spelling differences between British and American {colour vs. color f'instance}.
As things currently stand the American form is, apart from those plural forms, automatically complete as it what the code is written with and the British will not be far behind even without an explicit approval for the remaining bulk of the program texts which will be unchanged from the American form...

One year after starting translating Mudlet in June 2018, here is another summary:

Now if you don't want to wait for my next summary at all, just go to Mudlet's github presence and find a pull request by the name of "New Crowdin translations". Thanks to keneanung you can now find a list of languages and their progression always updated there. At the same time, you can download a test version of Mudlet with your latest translation included already, so you can more easily review the changes you made!
For example as of writing, here is that pull request and it shows the following translation stats:
Which can be drawn like this:
As you can see, there are almost 2000 texts to translate in total, and different languages are on their way.
Not drawn are the following languages and that's why:
- More and more people help translating Mudlet client into their native languages. Thanks to all helpers!
- Two languages are close to grab the 3rd gold star soon: Russian (100 texts left) and Italian (250 texts)
- Translation stats will now be calculated and updated automatically for you - see details below
- Mudlet website is now also available in German language - see www.mudlet.org/de/
