In the top right corner, below the search function, where it says FAQ, etc, we should add links to (at least) Mudlet Website & Wiki:
* Website - http://www.mudlet.org
* Wiki - http://wiki.mudlet.org
Currently, forum users have no quick way of going to those other helpful ressources.
add Forum links to Website & Wiki
Re: add Forum links to Website & Wiki
I think we had them and then a forums update wiped it, because the modification was done to the source code directly. I'll see if there's a better way about adding it.
Re: add Forum links to Website & Wiki
All suggestions say to modify the source code. We can work around that by keeping it versioned then.
Re: add Forum links to Website & Wiki
Can you not like, add it to the template??
Re: add Forum links to Website & Wiki
Yes, that's what you have to do - and every time you update the forums, the template gets reset.
Re: add Forum links to Website & Wiki
Either that or keep a list of things too adjust after a version update. Maybe that is less hustle than adding the forum source to version control, which seems possible only for admins, who have enough work already. Let me know how I can help to realise this feature, as I find it rather helpful.Vadi wrote:All suggestions say to modify the source code. We can work around that by keeping it versioned then.
Re: add Forum links to Website & Wiki
I don't think you can modify the forums from within the website, you'd need shell access to the server to implement this, unfortunately.
Re: add Forum links to Website & Wiki
Seems like this issue is still open. Should be easy to fix, albeit only few people have the necessary rights.
Re: add Forum links to Website & Wiki
Half a year later maybe somebody got a few minutes?
Re: add Forum links to Website & Wiki
Added. Apologies for the delay.
