Hello, is there any way mudlet is able to use server-side sound files that use a pattern like this:
!!SOUND(Off U=http://www.alteraeon.com/soundpack/wav_v1/ X=2.0)
If so, are their any scripts that already take advantage of this or is there some help file I can read that will help me enable this in mudlet?
Using Server Side Sound Files

Check out:
https://wiki.mudlet.org/w/Manual:Suppor ... SP_for_Lua
https://wiki.mudlet.org/w/Manual:Lua_Fu ... receiveMSP
It won't recognize the X parameter there, but the rest should work for you.

Re: Using Server Side Sound Files
Seems I am unable to use the server side sound files still. I've used the information on the web pages that were given, but I am still unable to access the server where the files are stored.
Re: Using Server Side Sound Files
The hyperlink you referenced in the first post on the AA site does not exist. There are references to soundpacks posted on the AA website that are bundled with other clients.
Here are some solutions:
Here are some solutions:
- Get someone to fix the website if there was intended to be soundpacks available there, or
- Download one of the soundpacks listed on their website in Blind support pages to your computer. Find the sound files in that installation and copy them into a "media" folder created in your AA Mudlet profile.
Re: Using Server Side Sound Files
Thank you again. I have used those blind support files to play some sounds. Unfortunately, the are woefully incomplete. I would estimate that only 20% of the sound files are available. I sent a mudmail to the developer asking for a link to download the full files. I will see how it goes.
At least now I know the sever-side link is bad, so no more wasting my time working with that.
